Shannon Terhune,
Pastor
Shannon has been the Pastor at Raleigh Heights since October 2015. He and his wife Melodi have called Chesapeake home since 1993 when the Navy moved the recently married couple to Norfolk. Shannon felt the call of the Lord to preach and retired from the Navy at his 20 year point to attend seminary in preparation to serve God as a pastor. Shannon and Melodi are excited to be a part of the RHBC family and desire to reach the community for Christ. Shannon graduated from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Wake Forest, NC where he's earned both the Master of Divinity in Preaching and the Master of Theology in Preaching. He is also a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, in Lexington VA, and the Naval Postgraduate School, in Monterey, CA, where he earned Bachelor and Master degrees in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Shannon's desire is to connect people with Christ.
Hope Paquette,
Minister of Music
Hope works primarily with our Adult choir know as the "Chancel Choir" and playing the organ. She is also a middle school math teacher for the city of Suffolk. She enjoys creative ministries: puppets, music, drama, and plays a mix of the keyboard, acoustic guitar, and organ during our Sunday morning services.
Brenda Woodruff
Brenda Woodruff, administrative assistant
Brenda grew up right here in Chesapeake, VA and attended Oscar Smith High School. She offers public notary services for a nominal fee during regular office hours. She enjoys "free time" when she can get it and gets a good laughs out of watching her husband play softball.
